Refund & Cancellation Policy

Subscriptions
- Free trials. Individual Investor (7 days), Professional Solo (14 days), and Professional Team (30 days) include a free trial. A payment method is required to start a trial; you are not charged during the trial. Cancel before the trial ends from the customer billing portal to pay nothing. Trials are one per person.
- Cancellation. You may cancel a subscription at any time from the customer billing portal. Access continues to the end of the current paid billing period. Cancellation stops future renewals.
- No pro-rata refunds. Recurring subscription fees are non-refundable for the current billing period once charged, except where required by applicable law.
- Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe automatically retries. Access continues during a grace period of up to 7 days. If the payment is not recovered within the grace window, access becomes read-only until billing is resolved. Your data is preserved and can be restored to full access when payment is restored.
- Upgrades and downgrades. Changes between subscription tiers are prorated by Stripe. Your Projects and history are preserved through any change.
One-time Property Project purchases
- What you get. A single Project with 90 days of full read/write access for $59.
- 7-day refund. If you have not run substantive AI workflows on the Project you may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase by emailing hello@bldgdeck.com. After 7 days, or after substantive use, the purchase is non-refundable.
- Read-only after 90 days. When the 90-day access period ends the Project becomes read-only. Your documents, analyses, citations, findings, notes, and Next Steps remain readable — nothing is deleted.
- Extensions. You may extend a Project for another 90 days for $59 from the read-only banner. Extensions add time to the same Project without creating a duplicate.
- Upgrade to a subscription. You may upgrade a Property Project to any subscription plan at any time. The same Project is preserved in place — no duplicate Project is created — and all documents, analyses, citations, findings, notes, and usage history carry over.
How to cancel or request a refund
- Cancel a subscription from the customer billing portal, accessible from the Billing page inside the app.
- Request a Property Project refund (within the 7-day window described above) by emailing hello@bldgdeck.com from the email address on the account.
Data retention after cancellation
Cancelling a subscription or letting a Property Project become read-only does not delete your Projects. You may resume by re-subscribing or by extending the Project. To delete your account and all associated data, email hello@bldgdeck.com.
